The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad held a discussion of a PhD dissertation titled *”Study of Certain Control Factors for Managing the Pathogenic Fungus Affecting Eggplant under Greenhouse Conditions”* by student Rabab Ali Naama from the Plant Protection Department .

The study aimed to find natural and biological alternatives to chemical pesticides effective against the pathogenic fungus and to reduce the production of sclerotia. Additionally, it evaluated the efficiency of copper, magnesium, and nano-silica oxides against the fungus and in reducing sclerotia production.

The researcher recommended further physiological studies and pathogenicity factors to achieve optimal control methods. She also advised researching alternative control factors to chemical pesticides to reduce pollution and the negative effects of chemicals.

Congratulations to the researcher, and best wishes for continued success.
