The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences holds the first session of the Industrial Advisory Council.
In line with the goals of sustainable development for quality education, the first session of the Industrial Advisory Council for the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences was held on Thursday, November 7, 2024. The session was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ameera Mohammed Saleh, who is also the Chair of the Council, along with several other council members.
The session focused on the importance of presenting initiatives and ideas from both public and private agricultural sector officials to enhance the practical skills of the students in our college, improve their professional capabilities, update the curricula, and develop a new vision that meets the needs of the job market. The meeting also discussed the use of modern technological tools such as smart and precision farming, artificial intelligence, and sustainable agriculture. Special attention was given to developing the middle-level workforce from agricultural secondary school graduates. Private sector officials expressed their readiness to train students at their companies, each based on their area of specialization, to help enhance students’ skills and make them qualified to work in both the public and private sectors.
