In alignment with the goals of sustainable development for quality education, and under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Professor Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, and the supervision of the Head of the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment, Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Kamel Sabre, the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences organized a training course titled “Installing and Using Office 365 for Correcting Linguistic and Grammatical Errors for Graduate Students.” The course was attended by several faculty members, as well as undergraduate and graduate students.
The lectures were delivered by: 1. Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Kamel Sabre ** His lecture was titled **”Formatting Theses and Dissertations and Writing References Using Microsoft Word.”** 2. Lecturer Dr. Amir Haidar Ali: He delivered a lecture on “Installing Microsoft Office and Utilising It for Correcting Spelling and Grammatical Errors.” 3. Assistant Lecturer Haidar Ali Hassan: He presented a session titled “Secrets and Techniques of Microsoft Word.”
The course took place from November 4-7, 2024, at the Ibn Rushd Hall.
Course Objectives: The training aimed to provide participants with a detailed explanation of how to install Office 365 and utilise Microsoft Word for correcting spelling and grammatical errors, considering the need for this programme among faculty members and graduate students. The course also covered the formatting of theses and dissertations, as well as exploring various Microsoft Word techniques to simplify and expedite the typing process.
Practical Application: The course included a practical component where Office 365 was installed for some faculty members and graduate students, and all the skills explained during the training were applied.
