A faculty member from the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences serves as the chair of an external thesis defense committee.
In alignment with the goals of sustainable development in quality education, Professor Dr. Nasr Nouri Al-Anbari, a faculty member from the Department of Animal Production at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, participated as the chair of the master’s thesis defense committee for the student **Rihab Adnan Rahi**. Her thesis is titled: **”Study of the Genetic Polymorphism of Muscle Synthesis and Differentiation Genes (csrp2 and csrp3) and Their Association with Growth Traits in Awassi Lambs.”** The defense took place at the College of Agriculture, University of Kufa.
The study aimed to identify certain mutations in the genes encoding these traits in ewes and explore the potential use of these genetic variations to detect genetic diversity in growth traits of lambs. This can serve as an indirect selection method contributing to the genetic improvement of local sheep herds.
