As part of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening organized a training course under the supervision and follow-up of the department’s head, Dr. Wafaa Ali Hussein, and Dr. Abeer Dawood Salman, titled “Hydroponics: A Step towards Sustainable Agriculture.” The course was attended by the College Dean, Prof. Dr. Amera Mohammed Saleh, and several faculty members in the department.

The course covered a detailed explanation of the importance of hydroponic farming, its systems, preparation of nutrient solutions for plant growth, as well as the presentation of soil-less farming systems and the types of agricultural media used, with a practical application of plant cultivation in both systems.
