Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Professor Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, the Biological Control Research Unit organized a workshop on Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology. The event was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hameed Majeed in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and the Plant Protection Department.
The lecturer, Dr. Jawad Balbal Hammoud, addressed the applications of PCR technology in diagnosing biological control elements. He explained the importance of molecular analysis in enhancing agricultural research, presenting practical examples. Attendees benefited from scientific discussions on PCR applications in pest control.
The workshop aligned with the sustainable development goals for quality education. Organizers ensured the content reflected scientific advancements. Participants actively engaged with the topics, enriching the discussions. The event concluded with recommendations emphasizing the importance of holding similar scientific meetings.
