The Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Unit, in partnership with the Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, organized a workshop to advance SDGs in quality education, health, and well-being. Dr. Ashwaq Wadi Majid presented the session, explaining the nutritional and medicinal benefits of rare fruits, with a focus on their disease-preventing properties.
These rare fruits contain high levels of vitamins, phytochemicals, and antioxidants. Traditional medicine systems, such as Greek and Ayurvedic practices, often use them for their healing effects.
The workshop introduced attendees to these fruits, emphasizing their health benefits and role in preventive care
