A scientific delegation from the Department of Animal Production at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences conducted a field visit to the Al-Diwaniyah Poultry Project, affiliated with Zuhoor Al-Watan Company. The visit was organized with the support of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Hussam Jassim Hussein. The delegation included faculty members, staff, and postgraduate students to learn about the latest poultry technologies.
During the introductory tour, participants listened to a detailed explanation about the company’s activities and operations. The two sides exchanged expertise on best practices in poultry care and feed manufacturing. The delegation observed the manufacturing stages, starting from raw material inspection to the production of ready-made feed. Visitors were impressed by the modern equipment in the control unit and the egg collection section for laying hens.
Both parties agreed to explore employment opportunities for the department’s graduates after their graduation. This initiative aims to integrate students into the labor market and develop their practical skills. The visit reflects the department’s commitment to linking academic knowledge with field applications. Such activities contribute to enhancing the expertise of both faculty and students.
