Based on the principle of achieving sustainable development goals, A faculty member, Professor Munim Khamis Mukhlif, participated in a promotion committee at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs entitled “International & National Efforts to Protect the Marshes in Iraq,” submitted by Counselor Mithaq Rashad Zabar for the purpose of promotion to the diplomatic rank of Minister Plenipotentiary.
The study discussed important topics, including environmental, legal, and technical ones, starting with an analysis of the geographical study of the marshes, their historical and strategic importance, international rules regulating the marshes, and other related international agreements and conferences.
