The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Psychological and Educational Counseling Unit, and the Department of Plant Protection at the University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled “On the Phenomenon of Sexual Harassment in Iraqi Law.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Zainab Abdul-Jabbar Dawi.
The workshop aimed to define sexual harassment under Iraqi law, highlighting its various forms—verbal, physical, and electronic—and its occurrence in workplaces and educational settings. It reviewed the relevant legal provisions, including those from the Penal Code No. 111 of 1969 (as amended), particularly Article 402, which addresses harassment offenses.
