As part of the College’s efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Quality Education and Partnerships for the Goals—the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific visit to the Dairy Processing Plant of the College of Agriculture in Abu Ghraib. The visit included fourth-year students from the Agricultural Machinery Department and third-year students from the Plant Protection Department, within the courses Agricultural Electrical Systems Engineering and Food Processing Equipment. The visit was supervised by Prof. Dr. Hussein Abbas Jabir and Dr. Mahmoud Kamal Ahmed.
The visit aimed to enhance students’ practical skills, introduce them to dairy-processing machinery, and familiarize them with the plant’s electrical systems. During the tour, the plant’s staff provided detailed explanations of the equipment and its operational procedures.
This activity reflects the department’s commitment to integrating academic instruction with real-world application and strengthening students’ technical competencies in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The College extends its sincere appreciation to the staff of the Dairy Processing Plant for their cooperation and valuable contributions that played a significant role in the success of this visit.
