As part of its commitment to strengthening the practical aspects of the educational process, the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad, through the Department of Desertification Combat, organized a hands-on training activity for first-year students. The activity included planting seeds of several field crops, as well as field visits to the college’s experimental farms to familiarize students with proper seed planting techniques.
The activity was supervised by Dr. Saja Jawad Shneishil, during which students were trained in fundamental agricultural practices aimed at developing their practical skills and enhancing their understanding of theoretical concepts through field application.
This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, while establishing a solid scientific and skill-based foundation for students. It also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting applied learning and strengthening scientific competencies.
