The Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific visit for second-year students from the Department of Agricultural Extension and Technology Transfer to the Department of Water Resources Engineering at the College of Engineering, under the supervision of Lecturer Dr. Hadeel Amer Jabbar, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education.
The visit included specialized scientific lectures on modern irrigation technologies and water resources management, in addition to a field tour of the laboratories to observe equipment and practical experiments related to soil hydrological properties and flow experiments.
The visit aimed to enhance students’ scientific and practical skills, strengthen the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and provide field experience in the use of modern laboratory technologies, contributing to the preparation of qualified scientific cadres. The visit also emphasized the importance of integration among scientific disciplines in addressing water scarcity challenges and achieving sustainability.
