Ali Saleh Shubrum from Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening successfully defended his Ph.D. work with the title ” Growth, Yield, and Quality Response of Purple Carrot to Fertilisation with Poultry Waste, Spraying with Brassinolide, and Reishi Mushroom Extract”
The study aimed to investigate the effects of soil application of poultry manure, foliar application of plant growth regulators, and reishi mushroom extract on plant growth, yield quality, and the potential improvement of growth and pigment production in carrot roots.
The researcher recommended adopting a fertilisation strategy that includes the application of decomposed poultry manure to the soil, in addition to the use of other natural plant extracts, due to their safety, cost-effectiveness, and positive environmental impact.
Congratulations to the researcher and best wishes for continued success.
