Prof. Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad, participated in the meeting of deans of colleges of agriculture in Iraq, hosted by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Duhok on 17–18 June 2026. The meeting was attended by deans and representatives of agricultural colleges from various Iraqi universities and universities in the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting discussed several academic and scientific issues related to the development of agricultural education, strengthening cooperation among colleges of agriculture, and exploring mechanisms for updating academic programs and supporting scientific research in a way that serves the agricultural sector and contributes to sustainable development.
The program also included field visits to a number of leading agricultural and production projects and companies in Duhok Province, to review the latest technologies and practices adopted in agricultural production and food industries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a set of recommendations was adopted, emphasizing the importance of exchanging academic expertise and staff, organizing joint scientific activities, and enhancing integration and cooperation among agricultural colleges in Iraqi universities, thereby contributing to the advancement of agricultural education and research.
