Yasser Rifaat Khairi from the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation entitled “Effect of Mycorrhizal Inoculation, Mineral Fertilization, and Chitosan Spraying on Growth, Productivity, and Marketability of Strawberry.”
The dissertation aimed to investigate the effects of mycorrhizal inoculation, mineral fertilization, and chitosan foliar spraying on vegetative and flowering growth, fruit set, yield, and the quality and marketability of strawberry fruits.
The researcher recommended inoculating strawberry plants with mycorrhizal fungi and applying chitosan as a foliar spray, in addition to adopting fungal biofertilizers, particularly mycorrhiza, in strawberry production and other crops.
Congratulations to the researcher, with best wishes for continued success.
