An Awareness Workshop About the Impact of Drugs on Iraqi Youth
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, in collaboration with the Continuous Education Unit and under the patronage of Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, and supervised by Dr. Shaimaa Abdul Khaleq Al-Hamawandi, organized an awareness workshop on the impact of drugs on Iraqi youth. The workshop was attended by lecturers Dr. Noor Ahmed Abdul Hussain and Dr. Shaimaa Abdul Khaleq Al-Hamawandi and took place on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
The workshop addressed important topics related to the effects of drugs and how Iraqi law holds drug trafficking and possession accountable. The lecturers provided information on how to identify drug users and prevent drug abuse. They also discussed effective ways of protection against addiction and presented realistic examples and innovative approaches to tackle this growing problem.
Participants praised the efforts of the Women’s Affairs Unit in organizing this educational workshop, which aims to enhance awareness and empower the community to address the challenges faced by youth and girls.
