Defending a PhD Dissertation at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences on the Development of Forage Crop Cultivation
A defense of a doctoral dissertation titled “Evaluation of the Dissemination of Planting Some Seed Varieties in the Development of Forage Cultivation in Nineveh Province” was held at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad. The dissertation was presented by Asmaa Zuhair Younis from the Department of Agricultural Extension and Technology Transfer.
The dissertation aimed to describe the entity responsible for disseminating each of the targeted seed varieties, as well as to diagnose the current state of the dissemination process for the targeted forage seed varieties in terms of organization, planning, execution, follow-up, and evaluation.
The researcher recommended intensifying efforts to educate farmers about the importance and necessity of using correct methods in planting the studied crops due to their strategic importance to the country. She also emphasized the need to include a larger number of farmers by providing support from government entities.
