The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad witnessed the defense of a doctoral thesis titled “Soil Genetics and Distribution of Phosphorus and Molybdenum in the Topographic Sequences of Some Iraqi Gypsum Soils” by the student Nebras Adel Ibrahim from the Department of Soil Science and Water Resources.

The study aimed to investigate the pedogenic distribution of total and available phosphorus and available molybdenum in some gypsum soils, the effect of topographic location on these elements, and to determine the levels of available and total phosphorus and available molybdenum in gypsum soils in Iraq.

The researcher recommended the importance of studying the genetics of gypsum soils and their impact on the content and availability of essential elements in the soil. She also pointed out the influence of topography on the distribution of elements.

Congratulations to the researcher and wishing her continued success.
