In alignment with sustainable development goals for quality education, health, and well-being, the Palm and Dates Research Unit collaborated with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences. They organized a workshop titled “Cruciferous Plants and Their Relationship to Heart Disease and Cancer.” The event was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Fadia Fouad Salih.
The workshop highlighted key plants from the Brassicaceae family. It explained their role in preventing diseases like heart disease, cancer, and obesity. Additionally, it emphasized their health benefits and proper usage to minimize side effects.
Participants were encouraged to cultivate these plants due to their significant health advantages. The session aimed to raise awareness about their optimal use and their potential in promoting long-term well-being.
