The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences launched an afforestation campaign to support sustainable development in climate action, health, and well-being. Sponsored by the Dean, Professor Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, it involved the Women’s Affairs Unit and departments like Agricultural Economics and Plant Protection. Dr. Osama Kazem Jabara, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and the college’s afforestation committee supervised the initiative.
The campaign focused on planting gardens and courtyards with spring plants, including ornamental and shade trees. This effort enhances the college’s appearance, improves air quality, and reduces harmful pollutants. It was organized in preparation for the spring season.
The college extends its best wishes for success in serving this esteemed institution. The campaign highlights its dedication to environmental and community responsibilities, promoting awareness of afforestation’s role in sustainable development.
