The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences organizes a cultural festival about Baghdad


The Department of Desertification Control organized a cultural festival titled “Baghdad, Capital of Culture and Tourism.” The event was supervised by Professor Dr. Abdulghafour Ibrahim Hamad, with follow-up by Dr. Saja Jawad and her colleagues. The Dean’s Assistant for Student Affairs, along with a number of professors and students, attended the festival.
The festival aimed to highlight Baghdad’s rich heritage. The activities included discussions on its Islamic landmarks, such as the Abbasid Palace and the Al-Khulafa Mosque. Participants also explored the role of historic universities like Al-Mustansiriya in shaping civilization.
The organizers emphasized the importance of preserving Baghdad’s cultural legacy. This heritage must remain a bridge between generations. Students presented performances embodying influential figures from the city’s history.
The festival stood out for its diverse cultural segments. It showcased a vibrant image of Baghdad’s timeless heritage. The event concluded with an honoring ceremony for participants and thanks for their efforts.
