The departments of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad achieved a qualitative leap in the 2025 SCImago international ranking. They secured the 55th position in the Arab world after a significant improvement from their 80th rank in 2024. Additionally, they climbed to the 1,489th position globally.
The ranking evaluates institutions based on research quality, innovation, and societal impact. The departments of Animal Production, Plant Protection, and Food Sciences demonstrated outstanding performance. This success is attributed to the efforts of the college’s faculty members and researchers.
