Tahsin Alawi Dhelaa from Department of Agricultural Machines and Equipment successfully defended her Ph.D. work with the title ((Design, Fabrication, and Testing of an Intelligent Fertilization System Utilizing Various Emitter Types))
The thesis aimed to develop low-cost smart fertilization systems based on real-time measurements of soil elements and plant needs by integrating IoT technologies and artificial intelligence.
The researcher recommended promoting the use of smart fertilization systems due to their role in increasing productivity and reducing fertilizer waste, as well as expanding the scope of research to study the impact of fertilization systems on improving irrigation efficiency and reducing water consumption.
