Hiba Aqeel Hameed from Department of Field Crop Sciences successfully defended her M.Sc. work with the title (Response of Yellow Corn Weeds to Control with Some Chemical Herbicides Under Two Irrigation Systems)
The results showed a difference in the response of yellow corn weeds to the herbicides used between the two irrigation systems. The researcher recommended testing more effective herbicides while considering environmental safety. The study confirmed that drip irrigation reduces water waste and limits the spread of harmful weeds.
These findings represent an important step toward improving water resource management in agriculture. Future research needs to explore the impact of alternative herbicides on crops and soil. Adopting modern irrigation systems contributes to better agricultural sustainability
