The Department of Desertification Control at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific visit for third-year students to the Agricultural Meteorology Station / Agricultural Research Directorate in Abu Ghraib, as part of the requirements of the Irrigation and Drainage course. The visit was conducted under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Afaq Ibrahim Jumaa, Head of the Department, along with Dr. Suja Jawad Shneeshel and Assistant Lecturer Hanadi Talib Ismail. The visit also welcomed Dr. Safa Hamid Fadel as a guest.
During the visit, students were introduced to the operations of the Abu Ghraib Agricultural Meteorology Station, including theoretical and introductory lectures on the measurement and testing instruments. This activity contributes to achieving one of the Sustainable Development Goals in quality education.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to the station staff for their warm welcome and efforts. We wish our dear students continued success and achievement in their academic journey.
