Prof. Dr. Muneam Khamees Mukhlef, a faculty member at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, participated as a committee member in the defense of a promotion research titled “Cyber Threats and Geodigital Competition Among International Powers and Their Implications for Iraq: An Analytical Perspective.”
The study was presented by First Secretary Ahmed Ubaid Jabr (Iraq’s Embassy in Italy) as part of the requirements for promotion to the rank of Advisor at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The research addressed a set of highly significant topics, focusing on their technical and strategic dimensions. It examined key concepts in cybersecurity and geodigital competition, the nature of cyber threats, the dynamics of competition among global actors, and the potential implications for Iraq in light of emerging opportunities and challenges.
The researcher concluded with several important findings and recommendations aimed at supporting Iraqi decision-makers in addressing the evolving threats and transformations within the cyber and digital environment.
