Professor Halima Zughair Hussein and Professor Kamilah Ward Shaher, faculty members of the Department of Plant Protection at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, participated in the activities of the 8th Global Women’s Cultural Festival “Spirit of Prophethood”, as well as the central graduation ceremony for Iraqi female university students (10th cohort), held from January 1–3, 2026.
The festival was organized under the patronage and supervision of the Al-Abbassiya Holy Shrine, with direct supervision by the Shrine’s legal custodian, His Eminence Sayyid Ahmed Al-Safi (may his honorable shadow endure).
During the festival events, both professors were awarded certificates of appreciation in recognition of their active participation, distinguished academic presence, and their role in representing the University of Baghdad and the College in a manner befitting their scientific standing.
This participation reflects the ongoing efforts of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences to support the involvement of its faculty members in national scientific and cultural forums, strengthen women’s academic roles in serving the community, and promote scientific and humanitarian values.
