The Department of Food Sciences at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a humanitarian visit for the department’s students to the Central Child Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Karrar Al-Jabri. During the visit, the students distributed gifts and humanitarian aid to children at the Hematology and Oncology Center as part of an initiative aimed at supporting young patients and bringing smiles to their faces.
The delegation was received by the hospital director, Dr. Mohammed Ali Mohammed Saleh, who praised such humanitarian initiatives and their role in strengthening the spirit of social solidarity. He also commended the efforts of the students and organizers in providing moral support to the children admitted to the center.
This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
