Omar Hamid Abdul Ali from the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening successfully defended his MSc. thesis entitled “Effect of Selenium and Succinic Acid Spraying and Algae Extract Application on the Growth of Sour Lemon Seedlings.”
The thesis aimed to investigate the role of spraying these two compounds in improving the growth of sour lemon seedlings and their leaf nutrient content, in interaction with algae extract.
The researcher recommended encouraging the use of algae extract due to its positive effects on vegetative and anatomical growth traits. He also recommended conducting further studies to investigate the response of seedlings of other fruit crops to succinic acid spraying.
