A defense of the master’s thesis titled “Analytical Study of the Determinants of Marketing Surplus Using a System of Sequential Equations: Wheat Farms in Baghdad Province as an Applied Model for Research” was conducted at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad. The thesis was presented by the student Safana Mohammed Abdul Hamid from the Department of Agricultural Economics.

The general aim of the study was to investigate the determinants of the marketing surplus of the wheat crop by using a system of sequential equations, to track the management of the produced quantities of wheat and the surplus, its distribution channels, and to identify the most important economic factors affecting the marketing surplus of the wheat crop.

The researcher recommended activating the role of agricultural extension services in the study area, raising awareness about food consumption among individuals to rationalize wheat consumption, and encouraging the establishment of an efficient marketing system by both governmental and non-governmental organizations for marketing wheat products.

Congratulations to the researcher on her success, and best wishes for continued success.
