The Effect of Spraying Sorghum Extract and Seaweed with the Addition of Zeolite on Mitigating Water Stress and Enhancing Sunflower Productivity in Calcareous Soil-MSc. defense-

Farah Thamer from the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources successfully defended her MSc.  work with the title (The Effect of Spraying Sorghum Extract and Seaweed with the Addition of Zeolite on Mitigating Water Stress and Enhancing Sunflower Productivity in Calcareous Soil)
The thesis aimed to study the effect of spraying sorghum extract and seaweed in alleviating water stress and the availability of some nutrients in the soil during plant growth stages. It also examined the impact of the study factors on maintaining and improving sunflower growth indicators and yield under water stress conditions.
The researcher recommended using the extracts at different levels and spraying them on the vegetative parts due to their positive impact on all study indicators. Additionally, the extracts showed comparable results in most measured traits. The researcher encouraged farmers to use these extracts as they are environmentally friendly, play a positive role in increasing crop productivity, improving its quality, and reducing the use of chemical fertilizers.”
