The Palm Research Unit at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the College of Science – Biological Research Unit for Hot Regions, organized a workshop entitled “Performance Evaluation Form for Faculty Researchers in Research Units.” The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Ali Hafidh Abbas and attended by research unit coordinators and quality assurance liaison officers.
The workshop included a comprehensive discussion on how to complete the performance evaluation form, with a detailed explanation of its sections and assessment criteria for the academic year 2025–2026.
The workshop aimed to clarify the operational mechanisms used in the evaluation process and to enhance them in ways that contribute to improving academic, research, and administrative performance quality.
The workshop concluded with several constructive recommendations and proposals to improve the evaluation form in alignment with current scientific and research practices. It also emphasized strengthening the role of quality assurance units and liaison officers in monitoring the implementation of the evaluation process and providing necessary feedback. Additionally, the workshop highlighted the importance of linking performance evaluation results to academic, research, and administrative development plans within research units, as well as encouraging collaboration among research units and colleges to exchange expertise in performance evaluation and quality assurance.
