Zina Saadi Mahdi from Department of Animal Production successfully defended her Ph.D. work with the title (The Effect of Supplementing Different Levels of Maca Plant as Feed Additives on the Productive Performance of Local Goat Does and Their Offspring)
The study aimed to evaluate the effects of adding different levels of maca root powder to the diets of local black goat does by analyzing its impact on productive and reproductive performance, offspring growth, and milk quality.
The researcher recommended the possibility of using maca root powder at higher inclusion levels, reaching up to 10% or more, in addition to further investigating its effects on fertility and twin production, particularly in local goats and sheep, based on its positive effects on semen quality in rams.
Congratulations to student on this achievement.
