A workshop on the Civil Defense System was organized by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad.
The Civil Defense Division at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the University’s Administrative Affairs and Follow-up Department, organized a workshop on occupational safety and civil defense. The event was attended by several officials concerned with civil defense affairs.
The workshop included lectures on rapid response measures to protect lives and property, covering fire suppression, rescue and first aid operations, natural disaster management, and the handling of industrial hazards. It also addressed raising public awareness, conducting training courses, and ensuring the implementation of safety requirements in government buildings and facilities.
The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including the preparation and implementation of necessary procedures aimed at achieving safety, preventing disasters, and mitigating their effects in order to fulfill the objectives of civil defense.
