Second-year students from the Department of Desertification Combat at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences carried out a flower seedling planting campaign under the supervision of Lecturer Dr. Nada Shihab Ahmed.
This campaign comes within the framework of enhancing green spaces across the university campus. Attention to such spaces is not limited to their aesthetic value only, but also represents an important step toward strengthening environmental awareness among students and preparing a generation capable of addressing desertification challenges and environmental changes.
The initiative also contributes to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 15: Life on Land, through promoting vegetation cover and reducing environmental degradation.
The campaign witnessed active participation from the department’s students, during which several flower seedlings were planted in different locations, reflecting a spirit of cooperation and environmental responsibility.
This initiative confirms the department’s continuous efforts to support a sustainable university environment and promote a culture of preserving natural resources among students.
