The Department of Agricultural Economics at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences – University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled “Agricultural Policy and Its Impact on Agricultural Economics,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Fatima Kadhim Zayer, in the presence of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Iskandar Hussein Ali, along with a number of faculty members and students of the department.
The workshop aimed to clarify the concept of agricultural policy and its role in achieving economic stability, as well as the mechanisms for formulating plans that support local production and address challenges and crises in order to achieve a sustainable balance between supply and demand in the agricultural market.
The workshop recommended the adoption of modern economic policies that support digital transformation in data analysis, enhance long-term planning to ensure the sustainability of essential resources, and strengthen coordination among relevant institutions to improve the efficiency of the agricultural sector.
