Maha Essa Sloumi from Department of Desertification Combat successfully defended her MSc.work with the title (The Impact of Agroforestry and Water Quality on the Reclamation of Salt-Affected Soil)
The study aimed to contribute to reducing the degradation of abandoned agricultural lands through the application of agroforestry, in addition to supporting seedling development programs for trees and shrubs in salinity-affected areas.
The researcher recommended promoting the adoption of agroforestry systems, encouraging farmers to implement this approach, selecting salt-tolerant tree species, and improving irrigation techniques.
