Asraa Jabbar Muheibes from Department of Agricultural Extension and Technology Transfer successfully defended her Ph.D. work with the title (A Proposed Model for Developing the Capacities of the Agricultural Extension System in Iraq)
The thesis aimed to develop a suitable model for enhancing the capabilities of the agricultural extension system in Iraq, in addition to identifying the requirements for implementing this capacity development model.
The researcher recommended the necessity for policymakers and decision-makers in the Ministry of Agriculture to adopt the proposed model. Furthermore, the study emphasized the importance of organizing continuous training programs for agricultural extension personnel and ensuring adequate commitment and support by providing the necessary requirements for capacity development processes, especially since they are ongoing operations.
