The Department of Agricultural Economics at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences – University of Baghdad organized a humanitarian volunteer initiative as part of its community service activities. The initiative involved a visit to the Imam Al-Jawad Complex in Al-Kadhimiya to provide psychological and social support, promote the spirit of giving and solidarity, distribute gifts, and bring joy to children.
The visit was carried out by first-year students along with several faculty members. It was conducted under the direction of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ameera Mohammed Saleh, and supervised by the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Iskandar Hussein Ali.
The campaign received a positive response from both the children and the administration of the complex, reflecting the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences’ commitment to its humanitarian and social responsibilities.
This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
