The Department of Animal Production at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences organized a scientific seminar for postgraduate students, under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Hossam Jassim Hussein Banneh. The seminar included a scientific presentation delivered by PhD student Zahraa Amer Jameel, supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Qasim Al-Hamdani, entitled: “Dietary Minerals as a Tool to Improve Eggshell Quality in Breeder Flocks and Aged Laying Hens.”
The seminar addressed the importance of mineral elements in improving poultry production efficiency and their role in enhancing eggshell quality. It also highlighted the latest scientific approaches in poultry nutrition.
This scientific activity comes ضمن the department’s efforts to support rigorous scientific research and to enhance the capabilities of postgraduate students in addressing production challenges through modern scientific methods.
Through such scientific events, the department reaffirms its commitment to contributing to sustainable development and supporting the agricultural and livestock sectors in a way that serves food security and aligns with global trends in sustainable production.
