Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ameera Mohammed Saleh, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Animal Production, Professor Dr. Hossam Jassim Hussein Bananeh, the Department of Animal Production organized a distinguished scientific panel discussion as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the connection between the academic environment and labor market demands.
The event was held under the title “From Classroom to Career: How to Start Your Journey After Graduation”, during which the department hosted a number of its accomplished graduates. The speakers shared their real-life experiences and success stories across various professional fields, highlighting the key challenges they encountered after graduation, as well as the opportunities they leveraged to achieve professional success.
The panel witnessed active engagement from faculty members and attending students, with numerous questions and discussions focusing on ways to develop both scientific and practical skills, the importance of training, and gaining hands-on experience. These discussions aimed to enhance graduates’ competencies and better prepare them to compete in the job market.
The event was also attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, along with several heads of academic departments, faculty members, and students from the Department of Animal Production, contributing to a dynamic and academically enriching atmosphere.
At the conclusion of the panel, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the participating graduates in recognition of their valuable contributions and efforts in sharing their experiences with students. The event was widely praised for its role in bridging the gap between academic study and professional practice, while opening promising future prospects for students.
This panel is part of a series of scientific and cultural activities organized by the College, aimed at preparing qualified graduates equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet labor market demands and achieve professional success.
