As part of its strategic direction toward adopting e-governance and keeping pace with modern technological advancements, the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences continues its preparatory steps to initiate a digital transformation project. In this context, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ameera Mohammed Saleh, has held a series of meetings with members of the committee assigned to oversee this initiative, in the presence of representatives from several companies specializing in technological solutions.
These meetings included discussions of initial visions and ideas related to the mechanisms for implementing the digital transformation project, as well as a review of the technical capabilities that could contribute to enhancing both administrative and academic operations within the College. Furthermore, best practices in this field were examined to ensure the selection of the most efficient and suitable solutions aligned with the institution’s needs.
During the meetings, the Dean emphasized the importance of a gradual and well-organized transition toward a digital environment, highlighting its pivotal role in simplifying procedures, reducing reliance on paper-based transactions, and improving the accuracy and speed of task completion. She also underscored its contribution to enhancing transparency and improving the quality of services provided to both students and academic staff.
These efforts come as part of the College’s commitment to building a modern educational and administrative system grounded in innovation and technology. Digital transformation is considered one of the key pathways supporting sustainable development, as it provides an advanced learning environment that contributes to improving the quality of education, strengthening digital infrastructure, and enhancing institutional efficiency through the promotion of good governance and transparency. It also empowers human resources to effectively engage with modern technologies in line with the demands of the contemporary era.
Within this framework, the College seeks, through these meetings, to establish solid foundations for the anticipated digital transformation project, ensuring a smooth and well-planned transition to electronic systems, and reinforcing its position as an educational institution steadily advancing toward a digital future.
