Batool Alaa Kazem from Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening successfully defended his MSc. work with the title “The effect of plant density and spraying with coconut and lemongrass extracts on the growth, flowering, and content of active compounds of Solidago canadensis”
The thesis aimed to study the effect of plant density on the vegetative and flowering growth characteristics of Solidago plant and to evaluate the effect of foliar spraying with coconut extract in improving growth and flowering.
The researcher recommended expanding the cultivation of Solidago plant due to its importance as an ornamental and medicinal plant, as it contains active compounds of economic importance.
