The Department of Field Crops organized a field visit to the PhD research experiment of Ali Wasmi Rashid entitled:
“Physiological and Productive Responses of Sunflower Genotypes to Planting Date, Glycine Betaine, and the Biostimulant Majesto”
under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Najat Hussein Zubon, in support of Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.
During the visit, the committee inspected the experiment and listened to a detailed presentation by the researcher explaining the nature of the project and its objectives. The committee members provided valuable observations and guidance to support the progress of the research.
The experiment aims to determine the optimum planting date for each sunflower genotype to achieve the highest seed and oil yields, identify the best-performing genotype, and evaluate the effectiveness of the applied treatments, namely the biostimulant Majesto and glycine betaine, in improving growth characteristics and yield under different planting dates.
We wish the researcher continued success and further achievements in his academic journey.
