Ibrahim Ali Ibrahim from Department  of Plant Protection successfully defended his Ph.D. work with the title (Evaluating the Efficiency of Different Methods for Preserving Biocontrol Bacteria Against the Causal Agent of Cucumber Root Rot)
The study aimed to identify environmentally friendly biocontrol agents with characteristics comparable to bio-pesticides for managing root rot disease, as well as diagnosing these agents and integrating them into plant disease management programs.
The researcher recommended conducting further studies on these bacteria for their potential use against other plant pathogens, in addition to exploring new isolates of biocontrol bacteria from the rhizosphere, diagnosing them, and incorporating them
