Anwar Abdul Ali Abdul Hassan from Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources successfully defended his MSc.work with the title (Using Artificial Neural Network Analysis to Map the Spatial Distribution of Soil Properties in the Al-Wahda Project, Baghdad Governorate)
The thesis aimed to evaluate the artificial neural network approach as one of the deep learning methods, integrated with geostatistical methods, for predicting soil property values in the Al-Wahda project. Additionally, it compared different soil property prediction methods in the project.
The researcher recommended adopting any of the three methods for mapping spatial distribution, doubling the sample size compared to that used in the study, and integrating multiple methods to achieve soil property mapping and spatial distribution. This aims to enhance predictive maps and their applicability in field implementation.
